About Me

My name is Paige Dowler and I am a passionately Catholic woman striving for sainthood. I would not by any means claim to have the world figured out, but with full confidence, I trust that the Lord does. This is a beautiful life we have been blessed with; truly a gift from our Heavenly Father above. Being aware of such things, while also standing in complete and utter awe of my God, I am able to trust that He is providing for me in every way imaginable. Life gets busy and much happens, but He is in control. Resting in this fact does wonders however; it’s not as easy as it sounds. I fail daily to truly put what is on my heart into action. Though through weaknesses I am assured, as I know my Heavenly Father is there to help me grow and to make me new.

Tucson is where I’m from, and that desert shall forever be where my heart is. My parents, my brother, and my boyfriend David Mares live there- so I visit often. David and I have been dating for almost a year a half, and the journey has been incredible. I am blessed to have him in my life and am excited to continue to watch our relationship grow. David has taught me so many things about myself, without even realizing he has. David is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona school of Engineering and is now working as the Campus Minister at the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman center at the U of A.

As an extrovert I find comfort in surrounding myself with people. I am pretty easy to get along with and consider myself a bit of a social butterfly. It’s really easy for me to meet someone for the first time and be able to share my whole life story. Essentially, I like to think that I make friends very easily. Although I am a people person, I acknowledge that I am terrible at asking questions to engage conversation and remembering names. I would say though that I have a gift for sharing joy! I love sharing my heart with everyone I encounter.

There are many things that interest me, yet I often fail to recognize these passions and utilize my gifts. I like to sing, learn about my faith, play Ultimate Frisbee, take and edit pictures, write, make crafts, shop, babysit, and cook. Of course beyond all of that I like hanging out with my boyfriend, my family, and friends. I am a very organized person who gets anxious when her planner is not filled out with important dates, homework deadlines, and work scheduling. Many people take this form of organization and refer to it as “0bsessive compulsive.” A perfect day for me is one that includes Jesus and a cup of coffee.

Currently I’m a student at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in Religious Studies. My hope after graduation is to work in youth ministry. Above all things I love God, and I came to know and love Him when I was a teen. After having such a beautiful experience in my faith journey, I developed a desire to share my passion for the Church with others. I noticed that one of the areas in which the Church has the most ability to grow as well as needs the most help, is in its youth. My goal is to help teens to see Jesus, not by my own prodding, but by the movement of the Holy Spirit. It is not me, but Jesus through me that will change hearts, I just want to serve.

Life is too good not to soak in. I spent many years of my young adult life searching for things that would make me “happy,” “popular,” “full.” Nothing quenched my thirst like Jesus. He is the only One who can and will satisfy you. Jesus desperately longs for union with us; we just have to open ourselves to the Divine relationship waiting to take place. Journey with me.
